Control Systems Building Owners and Managers Association International (BOMA)-BOMA International was founded in 1907 as the National Association of Building Owners and Managers. The association assumed its present name in 1968 as it broadened its reach to include Canada and participants from around the globe. Today BOMA International represents 95 North American and nine overseas associations in Australia, Brazil, Finland, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, the Philippines and South Africa. NFSA is in the process of developing a Residential Sprinkler Accreditation Program with the members of the fire community, in an effort to protect the integrity of the sprinkler product which has enjoyed an enviable record of protecting life and property for more than 100 years. While many of the details have not been finalized, and additional input is needed from NFSA's contractor membership, the goal of this program is to ensure that quality installations are installed by competent contractors.
