Home Energy Saver - First Internet-based decision-support tool for calculating energy use for all end uses in residential buildings. The Home Energy Saver computes the home's energy use on-line based on methods developed at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (including DOE-2 for HVAC calculations) and quickly relays the results back to the user. Separate modules are provided for heating/cooling, domestic hot water, appliances and miscellaneous uses, and lighting. By simply changing one or more features, users can estimate how much energy can be saved by implementing energy-efficiency improvements.

Natural Environmental Balancing Bureau - (NEBB) is a nonprofit organization, founded in 1971 by contractors in the heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) industry. NEBB exists to help architects, engineers, building owners, and contractors produce great buildings with HVAC systems that perform in ways they have been visualized and designed.NEBB establishes and maintains industry standards, procedures and specifications for work in its various disciplines, which include:* Testing-Adjusting-Balancing (TAB)-- Air and Hydronic Systems * Sound and Vibration (S&V) Measurement *  Cleanroom Performance Testing (CPT) * Building Systems Commissioning -- HVAC and Plumbing Systems --Each discipline is anchored by a NEBB Procedural Standards that provides guidelines for work to be performed. NEBB has also created technical manuals, training materials, and seminars to enhance and support each discipline.

Water Environement Federation (WEF) - EPA Reports on U.S. Water Quality Conditions Recent water quality data provided this week by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) finds that more than 291,000 miles of the nations' assessed rivers and streams fail to meet water quality standards. The report contains information from each state on the quality of our nation's rivers, lakes, wetlands, estuaries, coastal waters, and ground water, along with information on public health and aquatic life concerns.

National Renewable Energy Laboratories (NREL) -As the nation's leading center for renewable energy research, NREL is developing new energy technologies to benefit both the environment and the economy.   Environment. The production and use of conventional, fossil-fuel based energy accounts for 95 percent of all air pollution and $50 billion in U.S. health care costs every year. In contrast, clean energy sources such as sunlight and wind can be harnessed to produce electricity, process heat, fuel and valuable chemicals with little—if any—pollution. Sunlight also can be harnessed for tasks such as cleaning up contaminated soil and groundwater.
