Aluminum Association, Inc., The - trade association for U.S. producers of primary aluminum, recyclers and semi-fabricated aluminum products

Aluminum Extruders Council (AEC) - The Aluminum Extruders Council is an international association dedicated to helping manufacturers, engineers, architects and others to discover why aluminum extrusion is ``the better material process for better products." The Council (AEC), founded in 1950, has served its industry well by addressing three main goals:
- Provide a platform for members of the aluminum extrusion industry to network with peers and suppliers, to address common internal and external issues, share data, educate, train and sponsor research. Work cooperatively as industry representatives to establish services that enable members to function more efficiently, cost-effectively and knowledgeably. Enhance the growth of the aluminum extrusion industry by promoting the advantages of the processes and product applications.  The Aluminum Extruders Council offers its members myriad products, programs and support services to help them succeed in a competitive manufacturing environment.Most North American extruders are members of the Aluminum Extruders Council, representing nearly 200 plants and nearly 100 companies, producing the highest quality products and value-added services. 

American Galvanizers Association - (AGA) is a not-for-profit trade association whose members represent the after-fabrication hot-dip galvanizing industry throughout the United States, Canada, & Mexico. The AGA: Publishes a variety of literature on specifications, applications, performance, design criteria, & other topics. American Iron and Steel Institute - Mission is to promote steel as the material of choice and to enhance the competitiveness of the North American steel industry and its member companies. AISI's overall mission centers around common goals and a clear vision for the future: To provide high-quality, value-added products to a wide array of customers;  To lead the world in innovation and technology in the production of steel;  To produce steel in a safe and environmentally friendly manner; and  To increase the market for North American Steel in both traditional and innovative applications. AISI is comprised of producer member companies, including integrated, electric furnace, and reconstituted mills; associate member companies, which are suppliers to or customers of the industry; and affiliate member organizations, which are downstream steel producers of products such as cold rolled strip, pipe and tube, and coated sheet. Member companies account for more than two-thirds of the raw steel produced in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Copper Development Association (CDA)

National Association of Architectural Metal Manufacturers (NAAMM) - is the Chicago-based trade association representing manufacturers of a wide range of metal products used chiefly in commercial and industrial building construction. These products include metal stairs and railings, flagpoles, expanded metal, hollow metal doors and frames, steel and aluminum bar grating and metal lathing and furring.  Established in 1938, NAAMM currently has four operating Divisions, with member firms producing specific products. NAAMM Divisions enjoy considerable latitude in planning and conducting projects and programs. However, the underlying focus of each Division is the same and follows the Associations overall goals of:  Developing, maintaining, publishing and distributing technical information on metal products for building construction. This includes specifications, manuals and other information for building design professionals.- Promoting the use of NAAMM technical resources, NAAMM member firms and their products.- Providing a forum for the exchange of management and technical information among the members.

Steel Joist Institute (SJI) - a non-profit organization of active joist manufacturers, was founded in 1928, five years after the first open web steel joist was manufactured. Its purpose was to address the disarray within the steel joist industry and develop standards for steel joists and other manufacturers in the industry. Since its inception, the Institute has created numerous publications that give specifications, provide load tables and weight tables, and recommend a code of standard practice in the steel joist industry.

National Roof Deck Contractors Association - The National Roof Deck Contractors Association represents contractors who install roof deck substrates that provide structural support and insulation to roofing membrane applications. The Association has been supporting the industry for over 25 years. The member contractors install both poured-in-place insulating concrete systems as well as rigid structural deck systems. System manufacturers approve the member contractors to install these systems by virtue of their training and years of expreience.

Steel Deck Institute - The Steel Deck Institute was formed to bring uniformity to the design, manufacture, quality control and construction practices applicable to cold-formed steel decking. Through this On-Line service you are able to order publications applicable to the design of steel deck systems as well as maintain currency in the state of the art means, methods and design techniques, including the latest LRFD methods for composite design.

National Institute of Steel Detailing

National Ornamental and Miscellaneous Metals Association (NOMMA)   is an organization dedicated to improving the custom metal fabrication industry. Our membership is made up of over 900 ornamental and miscellaneous metal fabricators from the U.S. and around the world. Members range from one-person blacksmithing shops to100-employee structural firms. Products produced by NOMMA members include railings, driveway gates, garden gates, security doors, window grills, stair systems, spiral stairs, gratings, and fencing. Many members operate forges in their shops and regularly mix Old World traditions with the latest technologies.
